Emergency Assistance
In addition to the food pantries operating at UMNC’s Social Service Centers, visitors can also receive hygiene supplies, clothing, housewares and furniture. Families in severe financial duress may also be eligible for emergency rent and utility assistance and help with unexpected medical bills.
Holiday Projects
Every year, UMNC distributes more than 1,000 Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets to families in Shelby County. The annual Christmas toy drive provides over 4,000 gifts to deserving area children.
Children’s Programs
UMNC also offers summer camp scholarships for Memphis children, as well as providing school supplies and uniforms before every new school year.
