Key Women at Work

For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality
and accepts no bribes. He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the alien, giving him food and
clothing.” (Deuteronomy 10:17-18)

March and April are busy months for the Key Women!. At our March
meeting, The Key Women brought assembled Easter Baskets for all
the Miriam children and for the Miriam staff to give their children.
We hoped for at least 75 baskets and “our cup runneth over” as we collected close to 150 beautiful baskets which were distributed prior to Easter break. The baskets that were left were distributed to our area food pantries to be handed out prior to Easter. What a special treat for the families receiving food from the pantries.

We are now getting ready for our annual Awareness Day luncheon to
be held this year, on May 16th at Asbury United Methodist Church.
Our speaker will be Ms. Linda White with “Women Ablaze” and
we will enjoy a salad luncheon brought by the Key Women. The
preschoolers from Miriam will entertain us with songs they have
learned during the year.

034We will adjourn for the summer and our next meeting will be
September 19, 2012. As always we invite UMW’s to
volunteer. Save your Campbell soup labels, bring your old
grocery bags for the food pantry, and / or come and read to the day
care kids on Tues. And Thurs. at 10:00 am RSVP with Melissa
