Christmas time is often when we gather together to share gifts. The outward gifts that are wrapped up and in boxes and the inward gifts that is a person giving of themselves to others.
This Christmas we were blessed by the children of Miriam giving of themselves in the gift of song. The program began with a greeting and a prayer then the Toddler 1, followed by the Toddler 2 class each sang one song for the crowd. Next the Pre-K class gathered to sing for parents, volunteers, and staff several songs that they had been practicing in class. For most of the children this was their first opportunity to show their talent in front of a crowd. The staff was then lead by Ms. Iletha in the reading to the children of a Christmas poem after which the staff and children enjoyed their school Christmas lunch.
We thank God for the ability and opportunity to share our gifts both big and small with our friends, family, and strangers because we know that’s is what Jesus would do.
